<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a contact area between a negative electrode and an electrolytic solution regardless of the shape of the negative electrode. <P>SOLUTION: In this galvanic cell gas sensor equipped with at least a cathode electrode 11, an anode electrode 8, the electrolytic solution 4 and a gas permeable membrane 12, the cathode electrode 11 and the anode electrode 8 are disposed across the electrolytic solution 4, and electrons emitted from the anode electrode 8 are supplied to a specific gas in a gas permeated through the gas permeable membrane 12, to thereby energize between the cathode electrode 11 and the anode electrode 8, and the concentration of the specific gas can be measured by the application current. A partition member 14 capable of adjusting the contact area between the cathode electrode 11 and the electrolytic solution 4 is provided on a contact part between the cathode electrode 11 and the electrolytic solution 4, and the application current between the cathode electrode 11 and the anode electrode 8 can be controlled by adjusting the contact area and controlling a reaction domain. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
