PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely find a travel track when a vehicle travels on a road not existing in map data, and to prepare road data approximated to an actual road shape, based on the travel track. SOLUTION: This system stores positional information of own vehicle position calculated based on a signal from a position detector 1, and positional information of a map matching position of correcting the own vehicle position to a position on the road by map matching processing, in a memory. A point where the own vehicle is deviated from the storage road stored in the map data, and a point restored to the storage road are determined using the positional information pieces as to the own vehicle position and the map matching position. The travel track from the deviation of the vehicle out of the storage road to the restoration is found precisely as a result therein.
