PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten time required for the entrance/exit of a vehicle into/from pallet type mechanical parking equipment. SOLUTION: This mechanical parking equipment 1 comprises: a parking room 4 for storing the vehicle 6; a pallet garage 3 wherein a plurality of pallets 10 for placing the vehicle 6 are stored in a stacked state; a carrier 20 which carries the pallet 10 in the state of being equipped with it, and which has an opening enabling the passage of the pallet 10; and a carrier-side pallet supporting means which is provided in the carrier 20, which supports the pallet 10 when the carrier 20 carries the pallet 10, and which can recede to a position to enable the pallet 10 to pass through the opening, when the pallet 10 can pass through the opening of the carrier 20.
