PROCESS FOR PRODUCING WATER-ABSORBING RESIN PARTICLE

A process for producing water-absorbing resin particles which comprises: mixing a precursor (A) for water-absorbing resin particles with a compound (B) having two or more polymerizable unsaturated groups, the precursor (A) being one obtained by polymerizing a water-soluble ethylenic monomer and the amount of the compound (B) being 0.01-10 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the water-soluble ethylenic monomer; and reacting the resultant mixture. The water-absorbing resin particles are usable in, e.g., sanitary materials such as a disposable diaper and sanitary napkin, agricultural or horticultural materials such as a water-holding material and soil-improving material, and industrial materials such as a waterstop material for cables and material for dew condensation prevention.
