<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor of an high effect-to-expense capable of detecting and measuring quickly and accurately steam contained in a sample up to a low concentration. <P>SOLUTION: This steam sensor 10 of the present invention includes (a) a positive electrode 50, (b) a negative electrode 60, (c) an electrolyte interposed between the positive electrode 50 and the negative electrode 60, and (d) an gas intake hole 50a penetrated through the central area of the positive electrode 50 to pass the gas sample to contact with the electrolyte.
