Rubber composition (I) comprises: (A) 55-95 parts by weight of ethylene rubber copolymer, alpha -olefin and non-conjugated diene; (B) natural rubber (5-45 parts by weight) and (C) organic peroxide (0.1-15 parts by weight), where the total quantity (A) and (B) is 100 parts by weight and (I) does not contain strengthener. Independent claims are also included for: (1) the preparation of (I); (2) the preparation of formed object (comprising a vulcanized rubber composition) comprising preparing (I) and forming (I) at increased temperature; and (3) a shock-proof material comprising a formed article (comprising vulcanized (I)).
