The method involves acquiring an input signal adapted to indicate presence of a container (R) on an inactive hob (F) of a cooktop (10). The hob covered by the container is detected. A LED (13) is lighted to visually indicate a power control unit (11) associated to the hob, to a user, where the LED is placed near the control unit. Adjustment of the power control unit is accessible to the user by control keys associated to the hob. An independent claim is also included for a cooktop. |
