#CMT# #/CMT# The device has a flat part incorporated on an oblate tubular metallic strand of an intervention system such as vena cava filter or pace wire. Material of a multiple lumen catheter used for positioning the strand, is molded around the flat part of the strand, in order to be matched with the oblate tubular form of the strand. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used for maintaining metallic strands mounted in an intervention system such as vena cava filter, jugular artery filter, endoprosthesis stent, endovascular lumen reopening device, endovascular lumen cleaning device and pacing strand, that is utilized in a medical field such as radiology, cardiology and surgery, for being implanted in a human body, where the vena cava filter capture blood clots for avoiding the clots to progress towards the heart and pulmonary artery. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The flat part of the strand is in contact with the catheter material and hence the rotation of the metallic strand in the catheter is avoided. The set of strands can thus be avoided from rotating itself in the catheter. The flat part of the strand and molding of the catheter material around the flat part, maintain precise geometry of the vena cave filter. The maintenance of the vena cava filter inside the vein is ensured by elastic force of the strands, which does not cause any trauma to the vein, and the withdrawal of the filter is facilitated without necessitating surgical intervention.
