PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pre-crash safety system for starting a pre-crash operation without fail that reduces influence on a driver at the time of making contact with another vehicle while detecting its contact with other vehicles in advance. SOLUTION: This pre-crash safety system 1 comprises a UWB radar performing a transmission and receiving of a pulse signal and information communication with other vehicles, a UWB communication part 3 for decoding a signal transmitted from other vehicles with the information communication and detecting information got from the other vehicles, a pre-crash operation determining device 4 for calculating an inter-vehicle distance with other vehicles and relative speed and determining if the pre-crash operation is energized on the basis of a contact possibility between a driver's own vehicle and other vehicles, and a pre-crash operation control part 5 for operating a control over the pre-crash operation.
