QOS CONTROL METHOD OF RADIO LAN BASE STATION UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an access point capable of coping with QoS securing of multimedia system traffic.

SOLUTION: In the QoS control method of a radio LAN base station unit in a system utilizing a radio LAN based on IEEE802.11 recommendation, a base station (AP) forms a network by an infrastructure mode with a mobile station (STA) access-controlled by a DCF system. In the case that the AP is in the state under the operation of receiving a first frame from the STA and is holding a high priority frame of a multimedia system to be transmitted after receiving the first frame, the time required for the transmission of the high priority frame of the multimedia system is set to the Duration/ID field of a response signal (ACK frame) to the first frame, and the response signal is transmitted.
