PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of enhancing its on-ice and on-snow running performance, wet performance and anti-abrasiveness. SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire is equipped at its tread with at least two circumferential grooves stretching along the tire circumferential direction, a plurality of lug grooves stretching in the direction intersecting the circumferential direction, and a plurality of blocks partitioned by the two sorts of grooves, wherein each block is furnished with a circumferentially stretching sipe 40 tying together the lug grooves on the two sides about the tire circumferential direction and two transverse sipes 42 extending from the circumferentially stretching sipe to the block end on the side in the tire width direction, and the circumferentially stretching sipe is arranged extending while changing its direction at least one time.
