摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel bearing device for preventing the come-off of an inner ring due to vibration during a time from the delivery of a bearing to assembly on a vehicle while minimizing the deformation of the inner ring and hoop stress on the inner ring. SOLUTION: The wheel bearing device for supporting a driving wheel comprises an outward member 1 having double-raw rolling surfaces 3 on the inner periphery, an inward member 2 having rolling surfaces 4 opposed to the rolling surfaces 3, and double-raw rolling elements 5 laid between the opposed rolling surfaces 3, 4. The inward member 2 has a hub ring 9 having a wheel mounting flange 9a and the inner ring 10 fitted to the outer periphery of an inboard side portion of the hub ring 9. The double-raw rolling surfaces 4 are formed on the hub ring 9 and the inner ring 10, respectively. An annular recessed portion 11 is provided in the outer periphery of the hub ring 9 near its inboard side end. A portion of the hub ring 9 on its inboard side beyond the annular recessed portion 11 is plastically deformed to the outer diameter side, and the plastically deformed portion 12 is opposed to the face directed to the inboard side in a stepped portion 10b of the inner ring 10 to prevent the come-off of the inner ring 10.
