PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator for keeping preserved foods fresh by properly controlling humidity in a chamber, independently of the amount of preserved foods, to maintain preserved food moisturizing performance. SOLUTION: The refrigerator comprises a preserving chamber 8 for preserving foods, and a moisturizing unit 78. The moisturizing unit 78 consists of a moisturizing water supply tank 82, a plurality of cylindrical moisture permeable film members 83 provided therein, and an ozonizing means 84. The moisturizing water supply tank 82 and an ice making water supply tank 80 are connected to each other via a water supply pipe 81. Thus, humidity in the chamber is properly controlled with space saving design, irrespective of the amount of preserved vegetable, to decompose germs on the surface of the vegetable, keep it more fresh and deodorize the refrigerator.
