<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable performing high-definition image forming by eliminating the influence of smear without causing complication of a device and increase in cost thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The image pickup device has an image pickup means for applying photoelectric conversion to the optical image of an object to generate an image signal, a light reducing means for reducing the optical quantity to be incident in the image pickup means, a storage means for temporarily storing an image signal captured by the image pickup means, and an image correlation detecting means for comparing an image signal photographed in the light reducing means with an image signal photographed without using the light reducing means to detect the correlation of an image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
