PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headphone stereo reproducing apparatus which is easy to use, can reproduce high sound quality, has possibilities for development, and is capable of quickly meeting user's preferences or the latest trends. SOLUTION: This apparatus is provided with a control part 41 for an entire operation, a card type hard disk 45 to write/read speech data, or the like, an expansion circuit 46 for compressed speech data. music data from a network service center is stored in the hard disk 45 via DSU61. As speed data is recorded digitally, sound quality is improved. Because of the card type hard disk, access speed is fast, reduction in size and weight can be achieved. Also, as favorite music can be selected from the network service center, the apparatus is easy to use, the number of music to utilize is enormously increased, and the apparatus can meet diversification of user's preference and the latest trends.
