<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly recover a computer apparatus with the occurrence of a fault. <P>SOLUTION: A portable information terminal (20) that can communicate with the computer apparatus (10) to be maintained by infrared rays makes a request to the computer apparatus for apparatus information including log information which indicates the operation history of the computer apparatus. The computer apparatus supplies the requested apparatus information to the portable information terminal. The portable information terminal reports the apparatus information supplied from the computer apparatus to a communicable server device (30). The server device previously holds maintenance information which indicates a fault content related to the log information, selects the maintenance information corresponding to the reported apparatus information when the apparatus information is reported from the portable information terminal, and supplies the maintenance information to the portable information terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
