PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and efficiently carry out liquid ejection inspection for liquid ejection nozzles. SOLUTION: The liquid ejection inspecting apparatus is equipped with (A) a detecting member which is disposed in a non-contact state to a plurality of the liquid ejection nozzles as an inspection object along a direction that intersects a direction in which the plurality of liquid ejection nozzles are arranged, (B) a detecting part which detects an induced current generated at the detecting member by liquid ejected respectively from the plurality of liquid ejection nozzles and electrically charged, and (C) a judging part which judges on the basis of each relative positional relation between the liquid ejection nozzle and the detecting member and of a size of the induced current detected by the detecting part whether or not the ejection of the liquid is normally carried out for each of the plurality of liquid ejection nozzles.
