<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To instantly detect a malfunction, to promote its cleaning, and to perform the cleaning when an operator device disposed in an electronic apparatus malfunctions. <P>SOLUTION: The operator device 10 of a partly opening type disposed in the electronic apparatus optically detects the position of the operator section using a gray code, and converts the detected value to decimal number with a different code converting circuit 43. A latch circuit 45 latches the decimal number with a predetermined time (about 10 μs) delayed, and a malfunction determining circuit 46 outputs a malfunction detection signal (c) when ¾a-b¾>1, where (a) is a value just before the value from the latch circuit 45 and (b) is a present value from the different code converting circuit 43. Therefore, a cleaning command section 49 promotes the cleaning of the operator device 10 with display or an alarm sound, or a cleaning section 60 cleans the operator device 10 automatically. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
