PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vending machine for cooling or heating commodity such as canned beverage for selling it in which commodity heated and stored in a long time is prevented from being deteriorated due to heating. SOLUTION: An open air introducing part 40 is installed at the upper part of a hot/cold switching chamber 1. In cooling commodity, an air intake fan 43 is stopped, and the open air introducing part 40 is used for heat insulation, and in heating commodity, the air intake fan 43 is operated, and an open air is introduced to the open air introducing part 40 so that the temperature of the upper part of the hot/cold switching chamber 1 can be decreased, and that the commodity can be prevented from being deteriorated due to heating.
