PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method for an organic electroluminescent element high in quality with reduced unevenness of performance. SOLUTION: A production method for an organic layer of an organic electroluminescent element having at least one organic layer between a pair of electrodes comprises the steps of: degassing a deposition material including at least one metal complex having a tridentate or higher ligand; and depositing the deposition material by heating after the degassing.
