PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device for a vending machine with a simple structure, capable of effectively illuminating a transparent panel supporting a film sample without impairing the commodity image possessed by the film sample, and enhancing the effect of appealing the commodity. SOLUTION: A solid bar-like light guide made of, for example, an elastomer resin for illuminating a transparent panel that is a display part of sheet-like film sample by releasing a light introduced from its end from the circumferential surface the transparent panel is arranged in a ring shape along the circumference of the film sample held on the transparent panel.
