<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a device in the conventional interrupting device using an electromagnet, a pilot clutch, a cam mechanism, a pressure ring, and a main clutch. <P>SOLUTION: This interrupting device interrupts torque transmission between a differential case 101 (one rotary member) of a differential gear 100 and a side gear 108 (the other rotary member) of a differential mechanism 104 stored in the differential case 101. The electromagnet 2, an armature 3, the pilot clutch 4, the cam mechanism 5, the pressure ring 6 and the main clutch 7 are disposed so that the respective members or the members and an adjacent member having the support relationship with them overlap each other in the axial direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
