PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit of an air conditioner that increases heat exchanger effectiveness by improving the flow of intake air and facilitates the attachment/detachment and internal inspection of an electrical part box. SOLUTION: The outdoor unit of an air conditioner comprises a heat exchanger 9 with a lower portion positioned back and an upper portion inclined forward in a housing 1 having a latticed front guard 2 over an inlet in a front upper portion, covered at the top with top plates 7 having fan guards 6, and having detachable side plates 4 on the sides, and has a partition plate 11 partitioning the interior of the housing 1 horizontally in front of the heat exchanger 9. The electrical part box 16, which can be internally inspected from one side, is arranged on one side in the housing 1, and the electrical part box 16 can be attached and detached from the front of the housing 1.
