OLIGONUCLEOTIDES THAT INDUCE THE SECRETION OF GM-CSF

Oligonucleotides having the following general sequence: TTTTTTTTTTTTCATTTTGTTTXPu wherein X is G, A or T and Pu is A or G, that have the ability to stimulate white cells of the human immune system in order to produce high amounts of GM -CSF are disclosed. These oligonucleotides induce the secretion of high amounts of Granulocyte -Macrophage Colony Stimulating Factor (GM -CSF) acting on white human cells. Therefore, they are useful as adjuvant for vaccines and for the treatment of tumoral and immunological diseases.
