<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic natural language translation system translating from a certain natural language into another natural language, suitably from English into Japanese. <P>SOLUTION: The automatic natural language translation system receives a text sentence (preferably English) of a source natural language, and translates it into a target natural language (preferably Japanese). Moreover, it is possible for an operator to automatically translate a selected portion in the source text again by using this system. This system includes some improvements aiming at making the first translation of a document containing words and phrases with different translations in a different field more exact, specifying some grammatical rules as a control means for deleting unsuitable translation, and using a probability value relevant to entry words of a dictionary in order to remove unsuitable translations. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
