<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin pass rolling mill and its rolling method, by which a product having no camber is manufactured, even when slitting a metal strip after subjecting the metal strip having an edge drop to light reduction-rolling with a lubricating oil supplied at the inlet side of the rolling mill or with no lubrication. <P>SOLUTION: The skin pass rolling mill is for rolling the metal strip having an edge drop. The rolling mill has: a backup roll having a convex crown of a flat or parabolic pattern; a work roll having a crown, whose roll diameter increases from the vicinity of the edge of the metal strip toward the edge of the roll in the roll axis direction at one side of the work roll; and a device for giving vertical bending force to the edge of the roll axis of the work roll. The rolling mill is as necessary provided with a shifting unit for shifting the work roll in its roll axis direction. Further, the rolling mill is as necessary provided with a device for crossing a pair of upper rolls, which comprises an upper work roll and an upper backup roll, and a pair of lower rolls, which comprises a lower work roll and a lower backup roll. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
