<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve following capability of a laser output to write strategy, in an optical disk recording method for supplying the write strategy consisting of a top pulse, an intermediate bias, and a last pulse to a laser diode. <P>SOLUTION: In an optical disk device for recording information on the disk by the output light of the laser diode by supplying the pulses to the laser diode, the optical disk device is provided with: an optical pickup 2 having the laser diode; and a driving means 4 for supplying a current to the laser diode and for executing a top pulse duration for supplying a first current value I1 to the laser diode, an intermediate bias duration for supplying a second current value I2 lower than the first current value I1 to the laser diode after the top pulse duration, a first light non-emission duration for reducing the current value to a value not more than a threshold Ith where the laser diode is made into the light non-emission state, after the intermediate bias duration; and a last pulse duration for supplying the first current value I1 to the laser diode after the first light non-emission duration. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
