<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a set top box (STB) connected to an IEEE1394 serial bus in which program information can be recorded to an entry descriptor later, even in a failure in recording the program information to the entry descriptor at the time of video recording to a hard disk recorder (AVHDD). <P>SOLUTION: When a user instructs and operates recording of the program included in a stream received by its own tuner, program information, such as a program name and start time, regarding the program to be recorded included in an EIT in the stream is stored into a memory. When the user selects the program not displaying the program information from a program list displayed on a monitor of a DTV (YES in S12) and then selects the program information corresponding to the selected program (YES in S14), the selected program information is written into the entry descriptor in the AVHDD (S15). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
