PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion generator for injecting resin for potting quickly without any risk of cracks in an electrode plate even if a casing is upsized in the ion generator for storing a circuit board in a casing body, mounting an electrode to a lid body for covering the casing body, and supplying high-voltage power from the circuit board to the electrode plate for generating ions. SOLUTION: The circuit board 31 is mounted to the inside of the lid body 3, the circuit board is subjected to potting to the lid body 3, the electrode plate 41 is mounted to an electrode plate holding member 4 separately from the lid body 3 for potting, and then the electrode plate holding member 4 is mounted to the lid body 3.
