PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a left-behind document prevention device of an image forming device which reliably prevents a document from being left behind. SOLUTION: In the left-behind prevention document device of an image forming device 1 which openably covers a document table 6 where a document to be read is placed with a platen cover 7, a transparent portion 21 which can recognize presence/absence of the document on the document table 6, and a cover member 22 covering the transparent portion 21 from the back of the platen cover 7 linked with the shift of a carriage 11 upon reading a document, is provided to the platen cover 7.
