PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spatter removing device that facilitates positioning and holding of a welding torch on a robot end and that is free from biting of a cutter and capable of smoothly removing spatters as well as discharging the removed spatters in superior workability, and also to provide a spatter removing method. SOLUTION: The spatter removing device is characterized in that the cutter 43, in which two resilient blades with the tip end ground in an arrowhead shape are placed opposite to each other with a prescribed interval, is rotatably reciprocated inside a nozzle N to remove spatters S deposited, for example, on the inner face of the nozzle N.
