Headings B2L and B2E]; Apparatus for coating the inside of pipes with a liquid or plastic coating medium, comprises a flexible pipe through which the coating material is pumped to a distributor the rate of pumping being varied as the speed of withdrawal of the flexible tube varies to produce an even and uniform coating inside the tube. The flexible pipe 18 is wound on a drum 10 which is rotated to withdraw the pipe. The pump 54 on the reservoir 48 has a dwell at the end of its stroke and the controlled length of this dwell determines the rate of pumping. The length of the stroke is determined by a control 76 comprising a plate with screws projecting through it to different extents one of which abuts the end of the piston.
