More specifically speaking, it is intended to provide: a target protein and a target gene of a physiologically active substance; a method of screening a substance capable of controlling a physiological activity; a physiological activity controller; a method of producing a derivative of a physiologically active substance; a complex comprising a physiologically active substance together with a target protein; a method of producing the above complex; a kit containing a physiologically active substance or its salt; a method of evaluating the onset of a definite disease or condition or the onset risk thereof; a method of evaluating the sensitivity to a physiologically active substance; an evaluation kit to be used in such an evaluation method; and so on.
