WIRELESS COMMUNICATION APPARATUS AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication apparatus capable of realizing a frequency channel evaluation system capable of detecting a frequency channel subjected to radio wave interference correctly.

SOLUTION: The wireless communication apparatus 1 performs communication while using a plurality of frequency channels sequentially. A reception error judging section 21 of the wireless communication apparatus 1 judges whether a signal is received normally or not and outputs an error signal when it is not received normally. A received signal strength measuring section 22 measures the strength of a received signal and outputs a signal strength signal. An interference channel detecting section 14 being supplied with the signal strength signal and receiving an error signal calculates a frequency where an event of signal strength exceeding a first threshold occupies the number of times of receiving a signal for each frequency channel and stores a frequency channel where the frequency exceeds a second threshold as an unusable channel. A transmitting section 15 transmits a radio wave by not using the unusable channel but using the plurality of frequency channels sequentially.
