1281468 Epoxy resins HENKEL & CIE GmbH 17 Dec 1970 [20 Dec 1969] 59835/70 Heading C3B [Also in Division C2] Polymers are obtained by reacting (a) polyhydroxy compounds or compounds containing more than one epoxy group per molecule, with (b) trifunctional isocyanates produced by reacting triglycidyl isocyanurate with organic diisocyanates in a molar ratio of 1 : 3. In examples triglycidylisocyanurate or an epoxide resin based on diphenylolpropane are reacted with trifunctional isocyanates derived from triglycidyl isocyanurate and 2,4-toluylenedi-isocyanate, isophoronedi-isocyanate, diphenylmethanedi-isocyanate, hexamethylenedi-isocyanate and trimethylhexamethylenedi-isocyanate. The reactants are mixed at 120‹ C. and, after gelling, are hardened at 140‹ C. and tempered at 200‹ C. |
