PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a master unit to carry out video recording reserved by a slave unit and to transfer recorded contents to the slave unit in a system comprised of the master unit and a plurality of slave units. SOLUTION: A reservation document is created by a slave unit and the reservation document is transmitted from the slave unit to the master unit. The master unit carries out video recording in response to the reservation document and when reserved video recording is completed, recorded contents are transmitted to the slave unit that has created the reservation document. Furthermore, each of slave units has a function for acquiring EPG information and is capable of displaying a program guide based on an EPG and reserving video recording. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
