PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus or the like capable of reducing a quantity consumed of ink and the cost while leaving information of a background. SOLUTION: An image converting apparatus includes: a detection means for detecting parts or all of a human body from a received image; an area setting means for setting a target area including the human body on the basis of the part or all of the human body detected by the detection means; and a processing means for applying processing of increasing parts in particular colors to the background other than the target area so as to acquire a converted image.
