PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable reusing a DVD-R disk which cannot be used because of occurrence of a physical error in the midst of use. SOLUTION: A section 0 to a section 2 of video recording are formed successively forward read-out from read-in of a DVD-R disk. When an ECC error is caused by physical damage in the midst of recording video information 3 in the section 2 using a DVD-VR format, the latest history information being readable and normal (e.g. history information 2) out of the history information 2 of a section 1 or history information of the section 0 is transferred to the end of the section 2 after restoration of damage.
