<p>Fluoromalonic dialdehyde from 2-fluoro-3-dimethylamino-acrolein. FCH(CHO)2 and its salts, pref. the Na salt are starting materials for prepn. of F-substd. N-contg. 5-, 6- or 7-membered heterocyclic ring cpds. with cancerostatic, anti-neoplastic and bactericidal properties. Pref. FCH(CHO)2 is prepd. by hydrolysing (CH3)2NCH=CFCHO with alkali or alkaline earths to salt OCHCF=CHO - Me+ (where Me is alkali or alkaline earth metal) and converting salt using acids in inert anhydrous solvents such as ethers or hydrocarbons.</p> |
