PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil seal remarkably improved in muddy water resistance and improved in core metal rust preventive effect without lowering mountability when mounted in an annular space formed by a shaft and a housing assembled in a relatively movable manner with a rolling element held between. SOLUTION: The oil seal is provided with a slinger 4 fitted to the shaft 2; a seal body part 6 integrally formed with seal lips 61, 62 sliding along the slinger 4, and a plurality of seal lips 63, 64, 65 sliding along the shaft 2; and one core metal 5 connected to the seal body part 6 and fitted to the inner peripheral surface 32 of a recess formed at the housing 3, to press the rolling element 9.
