<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal, including a function of applying diversity processing to a received signal by an antenna provided to the terminal body and a received signal, by an antenna provided to an earphone that can reduce unnecessary processing load and to reduce the current consumed. <P>SOLUTION: The mobile terminal 100 is provided with an earphone insertion/removal detecting section 108 for detecting the insertion/removal of an earphone terminal 203; and a control section 109 for stopping the diversity function of a diversity processing section 103, when the detection section 108 obtains a result of the detection that the earphone terminal 203 has been removed.
