The multilayer polyester film contains polyethylene terephthalate and 2-20 weight% of polyethylene naphthalate (PEN) with respect to weight of the film, and has thickness of 5-200 mum. The film has outer layer(s) comprising less than 0.1 weight% of PEN with respect to weight of the outer layer. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) production of polyester film; (2) packaging composite; and (3) absorption of ultraviolet radiation in packaging composite.
