Upper and lower cymbals (6,7) are connected to a foot pedal (8) through a hoisting system accommodated within a stand (5) and including a return spring (10). Depressing the front end (8a) of the foot pedal lowers the upper cymbals to hit the lower cymbals. Depressing the rear end (8b) of the foot pedal raises the upper cymbals away from the lower cymbals.
