PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device capable of evenly illuminating an illumination cover with a small number of LEDs. SOLUTION: Four angle LEDs 60 are mounted on a circular locus C on an LED substrate 33. Each angle LED 60 is for irradiating the LED cover 34 with the illumination light inclined to the LED substrate 33, and has a radial projection light area Eh radially diffusing the light to the outside of the circular locus C. A top LED 40 is disposed inside the circular locus C on the LED substrate 33. The top LED 40 is for irradiating the LED cover 34 with the illumination light orthogonally crossing the LED substrate 33, and has a center projection light area Et. In this structure, the top LED 40 and the angle LEDs 60 with different directions of projection of illumination light are efficiently combined and used, so that the LED cover 34 can be evenly illuminated.
