PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing wall with relatively high strength and a relatively simple structure, which can be constructed in a relatively easy manner. SOLUTION: This bearing wall 10 comprises: a horizontally elongated lower horizontal member 20; an upper horizontal member 30 which is provided above the member 20 and which is arranged in parallel with the member 20; two or more columns 40 which are joined to the lower and upper horizontal members 20 and 30 in the state of being orthogonal to the members 20 and 30; at least one batten 50 which is provided between the members 20 and 30, which is arranged in parallel with the members 20 and 30, and which passes through each column 40; and at least one drawing implement 60 which is elongated upward from the member 20, which passes through the batten 50 and leads to the member 30, and which draws the members 20 and 30 to each other. A frame body with a plurality of openings is formed of the members 20 and 30, the column 40 and the batten 50. A plate material 70 is fitted into at least one opening of the frame body.
