<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inter-controller communications system capable of improving the transport accuracy of sheets, from a sheet tray to an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A serial communication line 51 capable of performing two-way transmission/reception, and a hot line 52 are used for communication between a main controller 21 for controlling the image forming apparatus 20 and a tray control controller 31 for controlling the sheet tray 30 for feeding sheets to the image forming apparatus 20. Since communication between both the controllers 21, 31 is performed, by using both the serial communication line 51 and the hot line 52, the influence of noise can be suppressed, and the carrying accuracy of sheets from the sheet tray 30 to the image forming apparatus 20 can be improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
