PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector wherein a part in proximity to a lamp in an enclosure is prevented from having a high temperature locally. SOLUTION: The projector includes; a lamp 6 stored in an enclosure 2; a lamp cover 11 surrounding the lamp 6; a heat dissipating member 15 disposed apart from the lamp cover 11 and outside the lamp cover 11; and a heat transport means 13 comprising heat conduction member 13 having heat receiving parts 13a and 13b, which are attached to the lamp cover 11 and receive heat generated by the lamp 6, and transmitting the heat received by the heat receiving parts 13a and 13b to the heat dissipating member 15, a heat pipe 32, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
