PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive mechanism by which even an elderly person can surely drive an electric face lattice, whose lattice member is openable and closeable. SOLUTION: In the electric face lattice, a pair of opposite frame bodies of a peripheral frame of the face lattice are formed of guide rails and the other pair of opposite frame bodies are formed of fixed frame members. The lattice member connected to the guide rails is slidably mounted. The guide rail has a rack in the longitudinal direction. An electric mechanism is housed in the face lattice frame of the outer end of the lattice member. The lattice member is made to be openable and closeable by engaging a pinion, which is positioned at an end part of a driving shaft of the electric mechanism, with the rack provided in the longitudinal direction of the guide rail. In the drive mechanism of the electric face lattice, a lock mechanism for a locking claw, mounted on the fixed frame member in a protruding manner, is provided on the opposite face lattice frame, and an unlocking mechanism for unlocking the lock mechanism by rotation of the driving shaft is mounted on the face lattice frame.
