PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an analytical reagent for accurately carrying out the qualitative or quantitative analysis of an analyte (analysis target component) in a sample solution and a dry analytical element and to provide an analytical method. SOLUTION: In the analytical reagent in which an analyte or a substance derived from an analyte in a sample solution is treated with oxidase to form an oxidizing substance, a color-developing substance is colored by using the oxidizing substance to qualitatively or quantitatively analyze the analyte, the analytical reagent is an analytical reagent containing at least the oxidase and a urate oxidase.
