PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of an inorganic plate by which an excess sealer 7 is easily removed by spraying a gas for the removal, a solvent is quickly evaporated even if the solvent remains in the sealer 7, foaming in an outer layer coating due to evaporation of the solvent in an underlayer is prevented, and the film formability of the sealer is improved in the cut face and adhesion of the sealer to the outer layer coating is sufficiently improved. SOLUTION: The production method for producing an inorganic plate comprises the steps of applying a sealer 7 to the cutting face in the edge part of a ceramic type plate 3 and successively forming an outer layer coating on the plate 3. After the sealer 7 is applied to the edge part of the plate 3 including the cutting face 6 and before the outer layer coating is carried out, the excess sealer 7 existing in portions 4 and 5 other than the cutting face 6 is removed by jetting a gas. A sealer to be used as the sealer 7 has retention conditions, that is, a retention temperature in a range from 20 to 30°C and a retention time in a range from 60 to 100 seconds, under which the evaporation amount of the solvent becomes 50% by mass.
